  1. Hey does anyone know the name of these plants? I got them the other day and there was no info about them. Happy thanks giving! Thanks.
  2. okay i just turned the blue light off and i wont use it anymore. Is there anything else i can do or is it just a waiting game from here?
  3. My lights are on from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, then at night it’s very dim blue light from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm. It is a 48W light and my tank is pretty tall so I didn’t think it would be too much light. Let me know if I am wrong. I have also kept the lights off for 4 days and nothing has changed
  4. Question here from a new fish keeper. I started my first planted tank which is a 37 gallon tank. I cycled the tank for 3 weeks then added 2 Cory catfish and tested water. All was well so I added 4 more corys. After 2 weeks or so I added 10 cardinal tetras with on casualty during the first couple days. My water was clear and testing perfect. My nitrates never went over 10 ppm and I did a water change once a week for 2-3 weeks. I then added some cherry shrimp and the water was all fine. I bought Java moss from eBay for the shrimp and set it in the tank. My tank is now extremely murky but it still is testing perfect for all ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels. I added a carbon filter( even though I know I need the nutrients for the plants) and another sponge filter. No water changes have helped. The water is always still a yellowish- green. Pls help thx.
  5. I don’t usually run carbon I just decided to put the filter in now to remove some organic material in the water. The water has a yellow tint and no amount of water changes has fixed it. The highest ammonia among I had was around 3.0 ppm
