  1. I figured it out. It should have been obvious to me but this is my first time using seiryu stone. so the stone has calcium carbonate in it. Apparently co2 can cause the stone to leach calcium which can rapidly raise the ph and GH. unfortunately all that can be done is but water changes and constantly rub off the calcium off the plants each week. even though I’m frustrated with myself for this blunder, I’m glad I learned something new. I thought all you had to do was wash the stone off water but it’s best to clean the rock in distilled vinegar. 🤦🏿‍♂️
  2. Maybe I’m wrong on identifying what this is. I’m very stumped. Maybe a symptom of bacterial bloom? 90% of the plants in the tank look milky or “ashy”. I will follow up in a week on this.
  3. More pictures for help.
  4. Hi Guys, Unfortunately, my first post on this forum is a troubleshooting post. I'm having issues with what I believe is Vorticella on my plants in a tank I set up on Friday.. First I thought it was white water mold, which it still might be. Wondering if anyone else has experience this and what methods have you taken to get rid of it. I know for a FACT that it's not biofilm or hydra. Tank: 7 Gallon Cube 11.8 X 11.8 X 11.8 (Using filter media and sponge from an old tank) Water Parameters: 0.25 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 6.8 Ph
