  1. @Calvin ooh that's a good idea!
  2. I'd like a way to feed my fish with a squirt bottle like Easy Green. That way I could feed a consistent amount every time and petsitters could feed the same amount. I also want a way to nuke pest snails for good! I love my handful of nerites but I hate hundreds of tiny pest snails!
  3. Yeah, I worry that it's a bit cold for the neons or cardinals. 72 is supposed to be the low end of the range for them but I'm sure they'd be happier warmer. @Ken your tank looks awesome! and the cardinals are beautiful! What temperature is your tank? @MAC I'll look into the killifish and rice fish - I hadn't considered either of them. @Colu I'm worried danios would be nippy with all my peaceful guys. Thanks so much for the help!
  4. I have a tank with peaceful nano fish at 72° and I’m looking to add some color especially blue. I’m deciding between neon blue male guppies, neon tetras or cardinal tetras. Any suggestions or advice? I have Sewellia lineolata, neon gobies, peacock gudgeons, flag fish and gold white clouds - a little bit of everything lol. Lots of plants. TIA for any help!
  5. bumping this up in case there's anyone that can help me. 🙂
  6. I'm not handy at all but I thought I'd try drilling my AC rock planter. I have drill bits for drilling holes in wood - could I use one of those to make a hole? Is there a chance the planter will shatter? Has anyone else done this? Do little fish get caught between the 2 sides? I thought I'd put some acrylic goo to seal off the narrow areas. Good idea?
  7. omg I need one of these! so cute!
  8. I've been treating my fish with Ich-X as part of the Aquarium Coop quarantine recommendations and for a recent ich outbreak. But just now I read that Ich-X should not be used with sulfur-containing water conditioners. from HIkari website: https://www.hikariusa.com/water_quality_folder/ich_x.html (under Directions) "NOTE: We do not recommend using any sulfur or sulfinite-based water conditioners with this product. If your normal water conditioner does not list the ingredients please verify with the maker that it does not contain these ingredients. If you notice any rotten egg smell to the product, it likely does have these ingredients and should be avoided as it could cause the product to be less effective and the dissolved oxygen levels to be negatively impacted." from Fritz website: https://fritzaquatics.com/products/fritz-complete (under FAQ's) "Can I use this with Aquarium Solutions Ich-X? Fritz Complete - NOT SAFE; this is a sulfoxylate-based conditioner and can affect the medication" Yikes! I've been struggling with ich on my shubunkin for a couple months and I've been using Fritz Complete for longer than that. Does anyone else have any info on using Ich-X with Fritz Complete? Or alternatives that don't have sulfur?
