Okay, thank you! For guppies would you recommend a combination of wonder shells and crushed coral?

This past week I’ve been cycling my tank in preparation for adding guppies and I’ve recently measured the gh of my water, it is about 30 ppm. I want to raise the General Hardness but I don’t even know where to begin or if it’s a necessity for guppies. If anyone has experience with softer water and owning tropical fish please feel free to offer some advice. Thank you!

Interesting, that could be it and I’ll see what I can do to add additional potassium. But also isn’t a lack of potassium due to low minerals in water? I’m using well water and I don’t think it’s low in minerals.

Yes, I have other plants, to name a few I have Amazon Swords, Vallisneria, Scarlet Temple, Crypt, Dwarf Hairgrass, and some Red Root Floaters. I’m using the NICREW ClassicLED Plus and Easy Green for fert. Also the Crypt is melting but it’s roots are fine so I’m not concerned with it

Hey, about a week ago I ordered some Java Fern from aquarium co-op and I was wondering if it was normal that the Java Fern browns initially when introduced to a new tank. I would like to hear about other people’s experiences and tips if this isn’t a common problem.
