  1. On the third day, start feeding them. I would feed them 2-3 times a day with live baby brine shrimp for the first week. Then 1-2 times until they are big enough to eat normal foods. Do not overfeed. Only feed them what they can eat in 2-3 minutes.
  2. I am not able to get a lot of tanks or drive to fish stores. There is a fish store walking distance from me but I need to be above 18 to purchase anything
  3. People do DIY forum topics all the time. If the project would tank a long time like a fish room build, we would love to hear all of your updates.
  4. There is not really a maximum tank size for African Dwarf frogs. Instead, there is a maximum height for the tank. Make sure the tank is less than 1-1.5 feet tall. This makes sure that the frogs can swim to the top. Avoid plants that cover the top of the tank. The majority of the surface area should not be covered.
  5. First, when did you get the cardinal tetra? Next quarantine it and treat it with melafix. The photo is kind of blurry but it looks like some sort of fungus. Can you add another photo?
  6. That sounds like a great setup. Just make sure that you have a plan for all of the fry. when they grow up, you probably won't be able to hold them all.
  7. I have never used aquabid or aquahuna. With big corporations or companies, the fish will almost always survive. With things like ebay, the fish are shipped from private breeders. There is no way of knowing what condition the fish will be in when they survive.
  8. I think they could live with a female. I always heard that the males could be aggressive, but I have never kept dwarf gourami so I would not know. I have 3 honey gourami and they are the most peaceful fish I have ever kept, so you won't need to worry about them attacking the dwarf gourami. I would ad several at a time though just in case.
  9. I have never heard of corydoras getting hole in the head disease. It could definitely be the repashi. That would explain them both getting it. do the red spots look like they are slightly protruding from the corys?
  10. Since it is two fish, it could be a parasite or something eating away at the fish. Your rocks don't look very sharp, but they could be the problem as well. I would quarantine them. How long have you had them?
  11. I have never heard of a fish education week. I hope someone creates one though.
  12. How long until honey gourami are fully colored? I bought one that I thought was fully colored but every day, it seems to look more and more colorful. I have 2 other honey gourami as well. One of them is all grey and the other gray with a little yellow on the tips. Does anyone know when they will all be fully colored? Also, when will they start breeding?
  13. Maybe don't do salt then. Just keep her above the aerator for now. Keep using melafix.
  14. I would do frequent water changes salt baths. Is your gourami bleeding? Tomorrow, if your gourami is still like that, I don't know what to tell you. An aquatic veterinarian could probably do something, but that would be incredibly expensive.
  15. Put the guppy fry in a net breeder. That way, they will be close to the surface and cannot get sucked up. This will also keep them from getting eaten or lost.
