    Everyday I think I know how many Sterbai Corydoras there are in the tank. Everyday I'm shocked to see there are more than I thought.

    I have a cinder block stand and I want to move some tanks around. I would like to put them on the stand in a "portrait" layout to maximize space. But the stand isn't wide enough and the tanks will hang off the edge. I've seen other fishrooms do this, I was just wondering what's the likelihood of a tank failing being set up like this? I thought of putting down a sheet of plywood across the top to counter the weight. I'm also curious if it would be possible to line the tanks up flush with the front of the stand and having just the rear hang off the back? What does everyone think?

    I'm intrigued. Could you give a overview on white worms. I've never done worms of any kind.

    I've been wondering this for a little while myself. About 2 months ago I reset the 30 gallon in my living room. I ended up with a tile bottom and some plants I took from other tanks. I'm going to continue to add more plants but I think I'm going to stick to a more bare bottom style. I can't decide if it's considered a planted tank or not? 🤷

    About 2 months ago I threw some java moss in two different sealed jars. One is in my fishroom under LED lights the other is in my room that gets a ton of sunlight. The idea was I wanted to see if it would grow emersed. They both seem to be growing but the one in my bedroom has seemed to double in size. If I remember tomorrow I'll update with a picture.

    I repurposed a couple of glass seasoning jars for my fish food blends. I soaked them in vinegar and taped them shut. I also threw a piece of tape down the middle for a little viewing panel so I know how much is in the container. One coat of black spray paint and viola! I've been using them for a few months and really like the widemouth opening for dispensing flakes. One of them I'm using for my fry food and the other is for my tank in the living room. I typically feed what I consider a high quality flake with spirulina and copepod powder tossed in.

    I honestly prefer guppies with shorter tails! Personally I think they are easier to care for. As far as plants go, floating water sprite has been a savior for me in terms of breeding and water quality for my guppies.

    The only time I really utilize aged water is for changing water in my fry tanks. I honestly don't know why I do it. 🤪

    Go through his foods, buy him a bunch of foods he doesn't already have. Fish tank people love a variety of fish food. 💯👍

    My dad has kept them for years. They don't ever hunt the snails. He has to actually crush them and dump them in the tank for them to eat them. They are amazing fish, they know his face, and everytime he pulls out a plate, they know to go to the spot where he feeds.🤣

    Definitely trilineatus in the bottom picture. If I was a gambler I'd say the other one is as well. Even if it's not, I'd leave it in there.

    Thank you everyone. Unfortunately my work schedule is insane during the holidays. I've looked very carefully for red feces as much as I can. I haven't seen anything. I don't believe I've fed anything that could cause their feces to look as red as what I witnessed. So I'm being hopeful in that regard. As far as the flukes go I've started a treatment of prazipro and in 24 hours they look so much better than they have in a few weeks.

    That's something to look into. Thanks again. I do feed baby brine but that's it for live foods. Seems unlikely that it would come from that, don't you think? But anything is possible I suppose.🤷

    Thanks @Irene. I'm gonna attempt to get a picture tonight if I can get a zebra danio to stay still. I have had red worms before and got rid of them. I'm more or less curious how it would be possible for the fish to contract them without any possible way of coming into contact with them.

    I've been battling gill flukes for quite some time in a 55 only stocked with zebra Danios. I'm going to start a dose of prazipro tonight. While on a break from work today I noticed one of them had very thick and blood red feces hanging from it. I was wondering if this could be Camallanus? If so I don't understand how the tank could have been infected.

    Oh I agree completely. While I think I've had more than 2 or 3 survive. My father was pulling the females and putting them in a sperate tank and he was getting 15-20! He probably has around 100 of them.

    I love my bronze Cory's! I noticed you guys are using a lot of tannins. Is that to prevent fungus on the eggs? I've done the same and it worked really well.

    I love a top view Tuesday idea! The only one I currently have in my phone is of my 2.5 gallon fry tank. It currently houses about 20 bronze corydoras.

    I have been keeping them for I think 3 years or so. Xenotoca lyonsi to be exact. They are definitely one of my favorite fish. Everyone in this thread has mentioned how they will eat anything. I fed mine duckweed for over a year until I had no duckweed left in my fishroom. When I feed them regular food I can actually hear them hitting the surface of the water and smacking their lips. I do notice predation on the young but as someone mentioned above here, I also think it's due to the young being so vulnerable, and horrible swimmers in the first days. I have them currently in a 20 gallon tank with java moss that covers the entire bottom of the tank and is about 3in thick. I really need to upgrade their home here soon. As I have around 20 of them maybe more in that tank.
