I wanted to get carida shrimp but wanted to add them to the tank that is already established is that possible. It is a no heater tank so am like mid to high 60 and I don't know tds or pH is. There is botanicals so I would guess like 6.8-7 because my water is very alkaline out the tap. It is very bio diverse with tons of different worms and microfana(see second picture). Are there any species that are easiest to care for but still are buetiful to live with cherry shrimp? Thanks so much

Ordered gbr and they spawned with 6 days of being in tank. I don’t think they will be acclimated cause I saw the females breeding tube filled of eggs but I decided to pull the eggs. I put them in a breeder box cause I thought my snails and rice fish would eat them. But has anyone ever seen a ram spawn on a snail shell?

Never dead black worms maybe came in on plants I bought because I almost always buy tank grown plants

this is a 10 gallon tank only set up for 3 months. 8 shrimp into like 50 and the most diverse microfana I’ve ever seen. In the first two pictures you can see two different types of worms atleast. Can anyone id the species? To achieve this I added in some plants from other tanks and add in oak leaves every week. The worms seem to love eating them.

I am setting up a 50 gallon stock tub to breed rice fish. I have never done it before but plan on putting in spawning mops and changing them out every other day. I will put the used one in a breeder box in the tank until I see free swimmers then dump the contents into the tank. How does this approach sound? Also should I start with 8 or 16? Price is not that big of deal so I think I’ll go with 16. Also should I add other plants to tub or should I just keep it to spawning mops so they don’t spawn on plants? I also have cherry shrimp I was thinking of putting in but don’t want to put them in without plants but I don’t know. Please if you have ideas give me one on this set up. The tub is like 40 inch by 18 by 18 ish *not exact messurements just off top of my head*

I have breed shrimp guppies pleco ram Krib angels and multis. I want something that is oddball but easy to intermediate to breed. *does not have to be oddball just something not listed* I want something that can be community bred if possible. My ph is high but I bred rams in the 7.8-8.2 range. So to sum up a fish to breed that is just not eggs scatterer in 20 gallons. Also I’ll do reaserch so u don’t need to say how to unless u have a tip. Ty

I did not notice rotten egg smell and I could not have tested the water before hand because I did not have my test kit at that house. A relative who lives 20 mins away had it

Also I did testing ammonia spiked at 3 ppm. Don't know how but I got it back to normal today. Fish eating and no heavy breathing. Stuff like this is why I hate seeing youtuber vids w no water changes. I don't know if its my 8.0 pH that makes it swing so much in parameters but its always something I have to be careful of. Ok and to answer mantince question I do 50% like 5 times a month and trim and check health and all that every day. I spend prob an hour a day looking and caring for my tank I promise u matience is not something I take lightly.

Makes sense I have a colony in a 20 high but there was to many so I'm upgrading ill just do species only Ty. But any idea for filter for the tank?

I heard tiger barbs or giant danios or bugger tetra but I'm assuming you would not recommend? Your comment makes sense tho

I have a 50 gallon low boy that is 48 by 24 by 10 inches and was going to put my multi in. I was wondering what schooling fish if any I could keep. Or just any fish In general. I plan to make a rock pile in the middle with shells around it. Also what filter for the odd dimension would u recommend? Ty

Is that even possible. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that I add water and the next day stuff went wrong. Because it had been like 14 days since last water change. And even if well got contaminated would 2 gallons hurt that much
