  1. Welcome; I love this friendly forum! Is that a Betta log in the top left of your tank? If so, does your pea puffer swim through it? I have a pea puffer tank and a betta tank; my betta hangs out in a betta log in his tank - he loves it.
  2. I used the 2018 med trio from Corey’s video (Because I saw that video first and purchased those meds) on my pea puffer in a quarantine tank per Cory’s instructions, she did well.
  3. Listening to this livestream as I tested my 5 tanks helped me to understand the process; thank you for posting.
  4. I edited my post...I named a specific fish farm and then realized I'm not supposed to do that. Check online 🙂.
  5. My pea puffer went through the quarantine trio and is doing well; I followed Cory's directions on how to use the meds. Pea puffers are great little fish (she loves being Queen of her 10 gallon domain)!
  6. What a neat little set-up (and adorable kid)!
  7. So it's the Magic Eraser you can buy in the grocery store on the cleaning supplies aisle?
  8. Thank you for the responses; it really helped! I read some of the links and it seems that the males have a darker stripe, right? A local tropical fish farm close to me here in Florida offers an all male Rainbow package ( Melanotaenia, Chilatherina, and Glossolepis), so if he's a male, I could get him some tank mates as I'm not set up for breeding. Thanks, again!
  9. Sorry the pics are so big! I'm new to posting...
  10. After purchasing plants last May at a LFS, I found a fry in my plant tub. New to fish, I purchased Aquarium Co-op fry food, and it survived! Fast forward to today, and I now have a grown-up fish, but I don't know what it is...does anyone know? Thanks in advance. 🙂
  11. Hello, everyone; I live in Florida and am excited about joining and participating in this forum. I am new to the aquarium hobby, having fallen in love with my little friend's Betta fish this past spring when I would babysit and help her with online schooling during quarantine. Her Betta, Zooma, was in a little bowl, and we learned that Zooma needed a bigger home in order to be healthy and happy. Not having a clue, I found Aquarium Co-op on youtube through a Betta Breeders channel and now here I am. I now have a couple of rubbermaid tubs with plants and sponge filters in them, preparing for a shipment of Neocardinia shrimp and tiger Limias to be delivered the last week of October (from Greg at Select Aquatics). I'm setting up a 29 gallon tank for them. I also bought a 10 gallon and 40 gallon tank to set up in the future. This fish hobby is turning out like the chicken hobby (I used to breed and show poultry)...you can never have too many, LOL! I now have my own 5 gallon Betta tank with Fred, the Betta, Mr. Kool, the Kuhli Loach (2 others died ), a Nerite snail and other pond snails, and one little red shrimp (the other 4 died). I did have a ghost shrimp up until recently, but I found him dried up on the counter last week. He somehow got out through the small space in the lid. I used to belong to a backyard chicken forum years ago, before they started having advertising throughout and the format changed; I really enjoyed the camaraderie there. This forum seems to have the same feel; like "old school" online communication again (I don't know if that makes sense to anyone but me)! Oh, and I have 2 fry now and of course don't have a clue what they are...they got here on some plants I brought home from the LFS. Thank goodness for Cory's fry food! They're a little over 3 months old:
  12. I have a pair of Dorks, too! Mr. Darcy's favorite treat is carrots, whereas Miss Lizzie's favorite is parsley. Your guys are so cute! 😍 Miss Lizzie and Mr. Darcy: My other pets include our pound puppy, Mr. Knightly: Buddy, a Bantam Brahma Rooster and Solo, a feral kitty I found at the base of an oak tree at 2 weeks of age (she's a big girl, now): Joey, a 9 year old Holland Lop, who requires at LEAST 5 minutes of petting daily: And "The Girls", my small flock of hens who happily provide us breakfast (2 Cream Legbars, 3 Barred Plymouth Rocks, a Barnvelder, and a New Hampshire Red):
  13. Here goes...very first post on this forum. This is Fred (my hubby named him), a Dumbo. He shares his Aquarium CO-OP Betta Log with his buddy, Mr. Kool, the Kuhli Loach.
