  1. I would probably be patient and give it a bit more time, but I will be interested to see what others have to say
  2. Take things slowly. Learn everything you can before jumping off the deep end, and keep what you enjoy, not what other people say or think is cool.
  3. Same here! I’ve always liked the look and depth provided by a 3d background, but I can’t justify the price considering I can get a black one for next to nothing.
  4. I have a black background like you are describing on all of my aquariums and I really like them!
  5. Congrats on finally finding and getting some! Hopefully they do great for you!
  6. Welcome to the forum! Yor aquariums are looking great! Judging from your username you are a fellow fisherman as well?
  7. I will also be interested to see what others have bred. I am looking into breeding some species of cory in a 75.
  8. Welcome to the forum! Your aquarium looks great! All the live plants look amazing too! I’m from western Maryland, so we’re basically neighbors.
  9. Welcome! Your 40 looks amazing, I like the use of the Java fern in there!
  10. Welcome! Thanks for sharing pictures, your aquariums look awesome!
  11. Welcome aboard! Your aquariums look great!!
  12. In my experience there’s always a bit of squabbling, but not excessive fin nipping or anything stressful/concerning to watch.
  13. I have been at this store so many times before and never knew that either!! Thanks for sharing!
  14. I would just go for an inert gravel from a lfs in a natural color. It is low maitenance and looks great with the look it sounds like you're going for.
  15. Congrats on the 2 clutches!! Eggs are always super exciting in the aquarium!
  16. Looking great! I like the choice of red rili shrimp!
  17. Is there anything in the aquarium that might be tearing up the fins beside the neons?
  18. If you don't want to do shrimp, maybe a nerite snail or maybe even a solo ramshorn snail would be fun to watch?
