  1. Quite a bit has happened recently I ordered a 20 Taiwan bee’s and they have been doing so good with my neo’s in one tank! And I am pretty sure I have 3 berried shrimp! A blue bolt, Cherry red, and a Red Crystal! I can’t wait!
  2. Well… Today we decided to go check out a local aquarium store we heard about. Found myself a male and female crystal shrimp! Now we have 12 total! Also ordered some very nice Caridina shrimp that should be here soon I can’t wait to share them! I found ours hiding in a compartment of our goofy airaiter and then figured that it would be better to stitch to just a bubble stone! I hope you see more soon!
  3. Welcome! How long have you been growing the plants in your tanks?
  4. Today I guess is the first entry into my Shrimpin' Journal. Happens to be my daughters 17th birthday! So we gave her a cat. About 2 weeks ago my girlfriend and I went to a pet store and I saw these multicolored shrimp, they were blue, red, yellow, and just fun to look at. we decided to get one of each color. We brought them home and knowing nothing we just went ahead and let them bob in the water for a good hour or so before opening the bags releasing the shrimp into our tank. It was so cool! The next morning... I was excited to get out of bed and go see how the shrimp look in the tank. However I was met with dismay when I couldn't even find remanence of one shrimp. They disappeared. I feared the worse, that the shrimp were eaten due to my lack of knowledge. I felt horrible, I started looking into shrimp videos and learning how to care for them, and started learning more about aquariums all together. I didn't even know about the PH and whatnot so suffice to say I am still very unknowledgeable about a lot but what I do know is that some of the things I have been learning. Have been working very well balancing. I couldn't stop researching, I was so upset as to how could I have let that happen. My girlfriend went to work that day and came home with a small surprise she kept teasing over the phone. when she sat the little 1/2G Beta tank and told me she replaced my 4 shrimp because she saw I felt bad and gave them their own little tank, I was pumped! I started learning that the shrimp bring quite a bit of people some wile unexpected happiness. Then it hit me. I NEED MORE SHRIMP. My girlfriend wanted more fish. So, we bought the 20G long and decided to take all of the fish out of the 20G tall and put them into the long, while we were uprooting all of the décor in the tank we discovered the original 4 were alive! It was decided! We are using the 20 Tall for the shrimp! This brings us to Saturday the 26th. I finally got the tank all setup and had another surprise. I believe that one of the shrimp that we just got were Berried, Fingers crossed! I would love to have a skittle tank and also start getting things setup to have all sorts of different beautiful shrimp like the Santa's and the black galaxies, I love seeing the blue and whites. I would love to aspire to start breeding shrimp and get my own shrimp room setup where I can walk through and see all the different Caridina and Neocaridina shrimp variants and seeing what happens. I don't want to get too much into the filters and the equipment, I personally feel like the more natural approach would be the best start.
  5. Thank you Dani!
  6. It's been amazing being back in WA, spent the last 10 years in NY. I have 1, 20G Tall, 1, 20G long, and two 10's (one is being repaired) and a few random ones holding Betas. I am hoping to get the tanks setup so I can start breeding Cardina and Neocardina Shrimp. Thank you for the warm welcome, and the compliment! The tanks have only been set up for less then 2 weeks but they seem to be doing pretty well from what I can tell.
  7. Thank you! I am excited to learn much more and see how well everything thrives!
  8. Hello! My name is Vibe Rantz, I am a streamer from Meetme and Twitch. I am from Washington state and can’t wait to go check out Aquarium Coop this coming weekend! I have been getting into aquariums over the last few weeks, my biggest favorite is the shrimp tank. I have no idea why I love the shrimp so much but I really enjoy them and I hope that I can breed more shrimp if different varieties. I would love to start expanding and adding more shrimp and more tanks. And breeding different varieties of shrimp. I can’t wait to see how it goes! And I look forward to checking out others fish and shrimps!
