    I used the 55g tote for betta fry, I had no issues with them but the tote needs a brace. I used a home depot ratcheting strap in the middle. You might be better off searching local Craigslist or fb marketplace for a good used tank for a similar if not cheaper than the tote.

    That's cool, I've heard of barometric pressure drop being a trigger for South American fish, it would make sense for Africa too. Try Cross River next! haha.

    Thanks, interestingly enough I've never considered altitude as a parameter! I'd assume a little less O2 than sea level but otherwise not much different?

    I've heard of people breaking in and stealing plecos in aus, I believe l046 zebras sell 1000-1500 for juvies?

    Wow thats crazy! like $5 usd here. I mostly keep plecos and have seen some of the crazy prices for them out of oz. Cant imagine what something like a cross river puffer would sell for there (if even available?).
