  1. If you put a new sponge filter into an established tank, how long would you let it seed before using it to start a new tank?
  2. Do plants absorb nutrients at night? Sometimes when I get off work late, my lights have already gone out and I'm not sure if I should dose easy green at night or wait another day when the lights are on.
  3. The fish will appreciate the 20 long more than they would the flora(more room to explore).
  4. Watching one of Cory's old livestreams about outside tubs and he mentioned solar powered air pumps. This really appeals to me because I don't want to run a power cord outside. Has anyone had a good experience with these? What kind do you have? Or did you come up with a different solution. Thinking about getting a 60 gallon tub with white clouds and keeping it outside year round.
  5. Well, looks like I need some super glue. I had this same question. Thank you all for the good advice.
  6. @dasaltemelosguy what kind of grow lights are you using? Also have you grown any other kinds of plants out of your aquariums?
  7. Well, not sure what type of filtration you are running, but is it possible to drain your tank to just below the crack and apply more sealant just to be extra cautious?
  8. Yep, they are ramshorn and the one in the top pic is often called a leopard due to the cool spots on it.
  9. Oh man! I got excited too. Oh well, it happens. Are you using xtreme krill flake? How do you like it?
  10. It would also be tough for me to narrow down, but I also really enjoy the tiger lotus.
  11. I think this is a good experiment. What type of fish are you keeping?
  12. I second the Extreme bottom dweller wafer.seems to be my corydoras favorite.
