  1. I gravel vac only when there is a noticable amount of poop on the top of the substrate, all though lots of people don't gravel vac.
  2. I have never heard of a fish getting shocked from a sudden drop of nitrates and nitries and neither as it happend to me. I don't think the prime would mess up your results.
  3. I reccomend either the tetra test strips or API Master Test kit. The API test strips are fairly inacurate.
  4. The first picture is a clown loach, right? Because it doesn't say clown loach on the list.
  5. I would try aquarium salt that should help also fritz macryn might help too
  6. I have a filter on one side of the tank and a heater on the otherside with no problems. My plants are planted up to the sponge filter with no problem.
  7. I'm the same problem with my cardinal tetras. Does your tank have a lid, neon tetras are know to be jumpers. I have never owned a african dwarf frog all though I would imagine that they may eat some of the neon tetras. Hopefully someone with more experiance with african dwarf frogs can pipe in.
  8. Yes, medicate the tank based on the size of the tank. The bottle of med will show you how much per 10 gallons or something.
  9. I usually dont topp of my aquariums but when I do I use treated tap water and never had a problem with it.
  10. an aquarium starter kit with a bunch of other co-op products, it could include: -Tank -Light -Lid -Co-op Spongefilter -Co-op airline tubing -USB nano airpump -Easy Green -heater Another product would be a USB nano heater, same idea as the airpump but thats its a heater. I have been experimanting this with the co-op easy green boddle. I put a water conditioner in it, so it makes it easier when dosing it.
  11. A semi-aggressive fish that doesn't have long fins would be your best bet. My first thought was a gourami, I had a pearl gourami who was super sweet (to me at least, not to the other fish) and would greet me at the tank and follow my finger all of the place.
  12. welcome to the forum! Guppies are a fun fish to breed because of how easy it is!
  13. the repashy usaully takes a little longer for the fish to eat, not to worry.
  14. It would seem fine to me but this might result in you doing more frequent waterchanges
  15. yes, cory recceomends to put the potted plant in the easy planter and then simply just add a root tab to each plant.
  16. relax let nature do its thing and be patient. Also don't always think about what you wanna do next with your aquariums, just enjoy the aquariums you all ready have
  17. I wouldn't worry about that. But better be safe then sorry. The most important part is that you QT the new fish.
  18. The Xtreme Red Krill Flakes are meant for all tropical fish at which a betta is one. The xtreme flakes along with the fluval bug bites will do just fine! If your looking for a high protein food, frozen foods are great for that!
