  1. Hey hows it going everyone. I have recently added a betta fish to one of my planted 5 gallon tanks. I am a bit of a newbie and I wanted to know what you guys reacommend for keeping a betta fish. Such as how to reduce stress, feeding times, general practice. Anything trade secrets I'd love to hear. Thank you for taking the time and reading my topic. I can't wait to hear back from y'all.
  2. Hey guys how's it going. I wanted some thoughts and opinions on what fish I should stock in my tank. I've been think alot about what fish I should stock such as neon tetra & betta fish, chilie raspbora & betta, red tetra & betta, or pair of guppies & neon tetra. I heard bettas can be territorial and harm fish if they get upset. I also know that some of these small fish do great in schools of 5-10 but I don't want to run into any problems where the tank gets to crowded. Can you guys reacommend any fish, I'd love to hear y'alls thoughts.
  3. This is going to sound bizzare or a bit strange but I have recently setup a new tank and have put some plants in it that I bought from aquarium Co-op. I was looking at the tank and admiring my plants when I see little white specks in the tank. At first I was like its something floating around no big deal but when I looked closer it seemed to be swimming and there where a couple of them moving around. At this point I am lost for what they are and how they got in the tank because I haven't added anything but the plants and water. I did some sleuthing on the internet and I think it might be cyclops or something but I don't know how they got into the tank. Do any of you guys have any ideas or thoughts on this and will it harm my fish if I put any in.
  4. Thank you guys for your help and I did add more root tabs to the tank. Unfortunatly the triparta did not make it. As I was adding root tabs near it, the plant just disegrated. Hopefully the Amazon Sword makes it.
  5. Hello everyone I hope you guys are doing well. This is my first planted tank and I am very much a noob. I set this tank up 2 weeks ago and it doesn't seem to be doing to good. The Amazon Sword and Hydrocotyle tripartita 'Japan' are not doing good and I don't know what to do. I tried looking up sollutions and watching youtube videos for why they look like this. I am out of ideas and hopping one of you guys could help me out.
