  1. Are they fry alone in the tank? Are you losing any fry? Are the fry looking thin? are you actually seeing the fish eat ? Answering these questions will help. Normally when I see white stringy poop. My first plan of action is to attempt to figure out if it’s an internal worm or parasite specifically Hexamita. But it could be nothing.
  2. Yeah pulling eggs is just to much work for me and I feel like pullin wigglers/fry is the same result just less work. But it’s hard to actually know if you’re losing eggs in that first week.
  3. It could cause them to fungus, I normally wait a week or so to pull the fry from the female. That way they are wrigglers and you dont have to worry about stuff like that.
  4. Do you often pull eggs at that stage ?
  5. Video wouldn’t load for me. But if they are in what’s called the T position. Then yes that is pre spawning behavior. Google search corydoras T position and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
  6. Sorry to say but from what I can see compared to the first photo those eggs aren’t good. but the low light it’s hard to tell.
  7. They still look good to me. Looks like your about to have some corydoras fry. They’ll feed off their yok for a few days, once the yok is gone start adding food. I always put a little clump of java moss in with fry as a first food and cover. But I’ll feeds bbs for the first week or two. What species ?
  8. I would try cacatuoides or agassizi, those seem to be the easier species to spawn. But stay away from wilds.
  9. I don’t medicate anything I take in. But I also watch fish I plan on taking in for about a month prior.
  10. I know females can give birth for several months even after a male has been removed. Or so I’ve see that online I should say.
  11. First time I’ve ever had a plant flower in any thing I own. And honestly probably the first time I’ve seen it in person. its Pretty neat. I’m try and get some good photos the next few days. I noticed it when I was feeding. It’s got a 48 inch current USA light and a sponge filter. I does easy green/iron when I remember to.
  12. You need to take a file and fix the thread if you feel comfortable doing so. Otherwise you’ll need new parts.
  13. @ange yeah I think I’m going to try and get a home grown culture. And start my own culture. I’m terrified of being something into my room.
  14. I like frozen blood worms , I wish I could find a safe source of black worms . My LFS sells black worms but they’ll sometime have leech’s and other stuff in them. I’m always afraid of bringing something in with them.
  15. Notice any fish missing ? I had a dead fish in a cave once and I couldn’t figure it out for weeks
  16. I only see one pleco in the photo and it looks like an albino bristle nose.
  17. I’ve always been told those (seeds) are scams . I’ve never heard of anyone be successful with them.
  18. @angeis correct @Alec2cool your photo is not of a zebra, but I’ve found with pb angelfish a lot of times they sell them as zebras to put some zing in the name also you’ll see PB angels sold under the trade name cobalt blue angelfish, and as far as I’m aware there is no difference. Now I have a pair of PB angelfish and they regularly throw zebra, albino and fry. So that’s not to say yours if bred wouldn’t throw zebra offspring.
  19. That is all relative to opinion and location. If you’ve never bred them before you need to figure out the amount of effort you wanna put in,The amount of money you wanna spend and what fish would do well in your water. As far as most popular i would says false juli, sterbai and panda are among the most popular. I personally like orange lasers the best. But they also come with a price tag. You’ll need to do some homework.
  20. The bio load has a lot to do with the relationship of how much you feed. The less you feed the less bio load (fish poo) you put on the system. So just don’t feed real heavy. With that being said the tetras may have had food withheld before shipping to eliminate waste in the bags. So I’d at least feed them a little bit. But I don’t think you’re going to have the issues your excepting. Just to be on the safe side test your water I guess?
