  1. Good morning 😃, I’m looking for the best fish bags for shipping and transporting small fish. I’m a new fish breeder and want to have the best chances of success as possible. If you guys could recommend me any that you have had great success with please let me know. Thanks!
  2. I have a female guppy that is with another female and a male in a 5 gallon tank. I’ve noticed that the one female guppy is overly aggressive when I use repashy gel foods. What should I do?
  3. Sounds like a plan! Thank you so much for your help :).
  4. Sounds like a plan! Thank you so much for your help :).
  5. She has still had quite the appetite before hand and there has been no changes that I can think of.
  6. Good evening folks, My flowerhorn has had a bump around her abdomen area and it is bigger on the one side of her belly. I have not fed her for a few days, and haven’t noticed any changes to the size of the abdomen area. She’s a 4-5 year old flowerhorn. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 🙂
  7. Okay sounds good 👍 thank you everyone for the helpful information!!!!
  8. Yea I haven’t really used test strips before aqua co-op but I do have the api water tube test kit also. Luckily my ph is 6.8 out of tap. Yeah, should I remove 75% of the crushed coral tonight? And do a 25% water change?
  9. That is something I have been doing too lately ! Thanks for the helpful tip though, hopefully it finds others.
  10. I have came across that recently while doing research too, going forward that is the rule I’d like to try and follow. I used about 15lbs between the 2 fish tanks and it looks like I was following the instructions but more for salt water and African cichlids.
  11. I use the aquarium co-op test strips and it’s hard to tell with the orange for pH and KH reading. So it could be just an eye error
  12. Usually I do have aged water but my Rubbermaid trash can is empty :(. So I will do a 25% WC and then measure in 24 hours again.
  13. Okay I will do a water change because I’m sure it has raised up a lot because of crushed coral and salt. I was adding based off of the Fritz salt of what to do with live beaters and decided to ditch it before the final step because I listen to a lot of aquarium co-op podcast and videos and came across how little salt should be added for guppies.
  14. Here are the twin quarantine tanks with the light off the last week
  15. Here’s what I have done with the Moscow green guppies tank the 15 gallons of water volume. This is my other tank that started off with a pair of lavender magenta guppies that also has a reading of GH 2,000+ ppm This is my water before it goes into a tank
  16. Yes I have The aquarium measurements are coming from the ones where I have added roughly an inch of coraline Here’s what I have added for salt the moscow is 15 gallons water volume and the lavender is 4 gallons of water volume.
  17. Usually my well water it around 100-150
  18. Yes I even tested my tank that I plan on having the fish in and it measures 173ppm. And other tanks are around 70ppm
  19. That’s what I thought too! I tried searching everywhere for that kind of reading and couldn’t find it. Hopefully by doing the water change it lowers it and all fish stay healthy.
  20. I’m more new to keeping guppies and have them in a quarantine setup over the last month. I have about 1” of crushed coral substrate in my fish tank because my tds out of my well water is around 100 ppm. And have the water volume at 15 gallons in a 20 gallon long. I used my TDS meter and it is reading at 2,356 ppm. What should I do? I have a whole document of water parameters and dosing over the last month for the fish tank I can also add that.
  21. I tested the water the day before the fish passed and the waters ammonia ppm was at 0ppm in that tank. I used a sponge filter that has been seasoned for one to two months in my flower horns 75 gallon. I realized two days ago that when I was treating the tank I was treating it as a 10 gallon but it was a 5 gallon. They looked very similar in size the way I had them setup. The female was nipping at the male and chasing after him. I just believe by accidentally dosing ich x for double its recommended dose caused stress to the male and getting picked on by the female caused the death. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond it is much appreciated ♥️
  22. Good morning folks, unfortunately my male passed away this morning. I have had him and a female since 2/2. I noticed at the beginning of quarantine that the female was food dominant and would pick on the male. Once I realized that she was nipping at his fins I removed him into a breeding container and supplied an air stone in there for oxygen. Today would be his third or fourth day in the breeding tub. I don’t believe he has eaten anything throughout quarantine. I have taken notes of all my water tests, besides ammonia. It was at 0ppm yesterday. I have also put down below the salt dosage. The last picture is from this morning 😢. If there’s any guppy expert that would know it would be much appreciated. THANKS 🙏
  23. Yes it does! Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I’ll add some fake plants in once he’s healed 🙂
