  1. I hated giving them up. I'm also just out the money too unfortunately but I earned a level up in fish knowledge 😉
  2. Another update: I've readied a second tank I found on marketplace so I can separate the fish once the tank water is ready.
  3. Tiger barbs and albino Cory's mostly, but I'm going to do Betta fish first this year as a learning experience. See if I enjoy the work and can find buyers. My wife and I had a blast cleaning up this old tank for our grumpy tigers and boy the outcome! Can't wait to get the barbs into their new home and start working on the 55 for my LT Molly. Maybe adopt him a squad next. I feel bad he's alone and also having an issue with a Chinese algae eater. I will never buy them again, even if I can't find Otto's.
  4. Hello everyone! I just received my first aquarium co-op order and I'm also new to The forum. Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone, all the help and guides, I've already learned so much. I hope one day to become a breeder and store owner, as I've instantly fallen in love with the hobby. I'll attach a video of my second aquascape, mostly all purchased from aquarium co-op. I just finished it yesterday so water parameters aren't ready for fish as of yet. Please enjoy and leave some comments below. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTdTyuhNj/?k=1
  5. I've tried getting more to grow than just stems but that's all that seems to grow. I have about 6 decent hides in the two tanks and the agressive fish seem to be the only ones that use them. I wish my ground cover came in proper or other plants had been successful, I'm sure that would have helped.
  6. Update: I found a store that will take the agressive CAE off my hands for trade, so hopefully they have the Betta I want 😊 down side. I found out that none of the LFP will buy fish from local breeders 😭 I was really hoping to not start a webpage to start side gig...
  7. I purchased 3 Chinese algae eaters from the LFP and two turned agressive. The option to take them back isn't available considering there behavior. I don't have an appropriate tank to home them separately either. I have considered calling other stores but haven't yet and there are no clubs in my area to share them with. My question is, what would you do?
  8. Half of that is probably just weight for shipping costs 😂 I have found similar products at Lowe's and Menard's myself cheaper
  9. My glofish have slowly become more silver and the emeralds are developing a light spot between body and tail. My question is, is this natural with age? I've had the larger barbs for around 2 years and the smaller barbs since Feb of this year. There's also 2 bull heads(local stream) and 2 Chinese algae eaters(1 too many). I've tried api phdown with zero success, hoping that's the issue. I found a rock with lime and removed it yesterday. It was in the tank for about a year. There's been no die off or behavior changes. Water temp is 78-84. My thermostat is digital and is terribleness.
  10. Be careful about meds with copper in them. It's not good for plants, amphibians, shrimp and many other animals though it is ok for fish.
