1. My favorite species of fish is probaly bettas or blood parrots. They have such fun personalitys. 2. Vallisneria, I like how big and easy it is to grow. 3. 62 gallons 4. yellow or orange 5. The hardest fish I have to net are my peppered corydorays. When I net them I typically remove as much as I can from the tank. 6. My first ever species of fish was a betta fish and I was probaly 6 or 7. 7. pest snails 8. Angelfish. 9. It would be in between with a group of medium sized fish. 10. I'm not sure 11. Replanting my 55 gallon tank. 12. My newest betta fish tank. 13. Algae. My tanks have recently had a major algae bloom. 14. No 15. flake food 16. Gotten a 75 gallon instead of a 55 gallon. 17. Having an intake sponge on my filters. 18. Aquarium salt. 19. For me it's show tanks because I just love walking by and seeing a nice beautiful display tank. 20. I love how much of a variety my LFS has. In both fresh and slatwater tanks. That and the prices can be much more affordable.

I did it with my 55 gallon except I put the Eco complete under the gravel. It was a bit of a hassle but in the end it worked out just fine.

What's your favorite community fish?
da_Fishylover replied to da_Fishylover's topic in General Discussion
Oh. Well now I feel kinda of dumb. I didn't even know there was another thread talking about this. -
My favorite community fish are corydoras because they are super cute, friendly, reasonably priced, and can live with almost any other community fish.

That's so cool. There's this really cool pond place in my neighborhood that has really pretty pond plants. My mom really wants a pond. I might have to set one up for her in the summer.
-
Thanks @Chadfor the advice. I have a little pest snail colony growing in my 55 gallon tank so that I can give them to the puffers.
-
Same goes for me. When I'm at the fish store I see all these different beautiful types of bettas but none of them seem to really grab my attention. But every once in a while there will be this one betta that I will just fall in love with. It can either be a really pretty koi betta or just a simple veiltail. But choosing a betta fish just takes time and you can't rush it either. Thats how I ended up with my veiltail Mr.Bubbles.

Wow, your tank is looking great!

No, she didn't do anything bad. Shes usually always a good girl. Olivia was just waiting to go outside. The one who is a bit of a trouble maker is my cat Winnie.

Pea Puffer 10 - 20 Gallon planted Tank
da_Fishylover replied to da_Fishylover's topic in Photos, Videos & Journals
Thanks @mountaintoppufferkeeper for the advice I might try some ember tetras and see how it goes. I have quite a lot of plants that I have collected and am slowly growing out to add to the tank. So when I set up the tank there will be a good amount of plants in it. -
I'm starting a pea puffer tank and I was wondering what other fish I put in there. The tank is a 20 gallon high and I was thinking of adding some dither fish like Celestial pearl danios or ember tetras or maybe even harlequin rasboras. I was also thinking of adding some julii corydoras or maybe panda corydoras. Or maybe some other fish completely. Let me know what you think.

Pea Puffer 10 - 20 Gallon planted Tank
da_Fishylover replied to da_Fishylover's topic in Photos, Videos & Journals
Thanks I was probably going to do the 20 gallon anyways, but since I also have the 10 gallon I just wanted to ask. I have a good LFS that sells lot's of pea puffers. So when I do get them I will be sure to get them all at once. Do you have any suggestions for good dither fish for pea puffers? -
Hi, I have an empty 10 and 20 gallon tank. I LOVE pea puffers I think they are just the cutest. I have been researching them for months. I am absolutely obsessed. So I want to set up a planted tank for them. I was wondering whether I should use a 10 or a 20 gallon tank. When I do set up the tank I know that I want some dither fish in it two like some Celestial pearl Danio's or maybe ember tetras or harlequin rasboras, etc. I'm going for a sort of jungle type of look. There will definitely have to be lots of plants. Any responses appreciated. Thanks! Tanks 10 gallon standard 20 gallon high

I have never kept otos but I have kept corydoras. I have some julii corydoras (AKA false julii corydoras) and they are great fish. But since it is only a ten gallon you should probaly get some pygmy corries. They are super cute little fish that can easily go inside a ten gallon. Good Luck!!!
