  1. I've got money that says, that pepsi is from Costco 😛
  2. For farms that raise fish, the goal is 2% of body weight every day as far as "scientifically" goes.
  3. Carnivore pellets would work, so would frozen blood worms, repashy, flakes, pellets etc. As to amount that's pretty hard to explain over the internet. Make sure the belly doesn't sink in and it should be getting enough over time.
  4. I can't wait to be setting up tanks again and using these in more of a capacity than testing.
  5. Outside almost done. More electrical done inside putting in plugs, 2 more cargo containers delivered today. Moving along.
  6. Use a camlink4k and then choose a camera. I believe the Sony zv1 is incredible value for most. I still consider using it for streaming. It’s my main filming camera, it’s basically a much more expensive camera on the cheap. Holds its own just fine.
  7. Dechlorinators don't kill ammonia. They bind it up for 24 hours. After that it's back in the tank hurting things. I don't recommend any anti ammonia stuff. Just water changes, dechlor to remove chlorine and salt to heal them. When things are dying and uneaten food, it can go up very quickly. I would change water again and get it to 0, and not feed, and monitor with salt in the water of 1 tablespoon per gallon and let these guys heal up.
  8. If you change water less often the crushed coral will take the place of having to add baking soda.
  9. All plants can get some nutrients from their roots. Scarlet temple gets alot of it from the water column as well.
  10. Did you quarantine or put any meds through them? Typically small comets like that are just barely a step above feeder fish and can run rampant with disease.
  11. Likely not using any dechlor killed all your bacteria and burned the gills on your first. I'll fast forward to how I would get through this. Heat the tank to roughly 78 to reduce stress and speed up ich life cycle. use ich x once daily with a 50% water change each day. I'd start that today, and I wouldn't be feeding until ammonia and nitrites return to zero.
  12. Fungal and bacterial infections are running rampant it looks like. I would pull the plants and do 1 tablespoon of salt per gallon. Or dose ich x/maracyn to stop the damage.
  13. Found another turtle egg today so I had to setup my incubator.
  14. We joined the nerm life when we removed a love seat from the living room to setup another tank. I used logic of, I’ll use that tank every day. The loveseat only get used when we have guests... that was like 12 years ago. The rest is history.
  15. Possibly, but unlikely, normal super glue is really runny and can cover the rhizome if sloppy. The gel, is easier to control where it goes.
  16. Here is an article we have on it. Anubias Rot: Symptoms, Causes, and Solutions WWW.AQUARIUMCOOP.COM Anubias rot is an uncommon disease that can affect anubias plants in the aquarium hobby. Unfortunately, there is very little information about how it starts and how to stop its spread. In this article, let's talk about the common...
  17. Definitely people have stopped by. The property was in really bad shape a few years ago. The person we bought it from got it back into shape mostly and we are continuing on that. As for car I containers, there are some other homes in the neighborhood that have them. Lots of RV parking/garages and that type of stuff on peoples property because we are out of the way a bit and it’s commonplace compared to living in the city. Everyone does a good job of planting trees or privacy fences around the cargo containers to dress them up.
  18. Looking good! I hope people find them as useful as we do.
  19. I plan to bury Hank at our new place with the maple tree we are moving. Thanks for joining us.
  20. Its the same size, in the future, contacting customer service would be best here as we won't always see a post like this.
  21. All pallets, goal being to move stuff in and out with the forklift.
  22. Another day wrapped up. Got some siding up on one of the new walls and two of the cargo containers were delivered.
  23. the gh is may be a bit low, but in general cichlids are hardy and i've never seen it really matter. You've had success with them for years, I don't think today your water is that different than a few months ago. It hasn't been a problem and therefore I doubt it is the actual root cause. Typically when water parameters are a problem you see the problem in all the fish, not just one.
